Beginner
Before going up the chairlift, it is best to start at our beginner area. This is located to the right of the chalet from the parking lot, past Chairlift 1 and the rope tow. There you have two options to get up the beginner area with our conveyor belt and handle tow. Once you feel confident enough, we recommend heading over to Chairlift 1 and heading right to take Easy Cheesy, which is our easiest way down and goes back into the beginner area. From there, we have many different options for beginners such as Turnpike, Sno Bowl, and Grandpa's Run.
Intermediate
Little Switzerland has a ton of trails geared towards intermediate riders with our wide variety of blue runs. You can find a few of these runs on the front side, but most are located on the back. Chairlift 4 is ideal for intermediate riders looking for a fun run.
Advanced
If you're looking for a steeper challenge, we encourage you to check out some of our black diamonds. Our two most popular are: Big Deal, located on the front side to the right off of Chairlift 1, and Shorty's, located on the backside. We just ask that you pay attention to our slow zones coming down these runs as they connect back with beginner areas.
Park Riders
Little Switzerland takes great pride in our three parks which offer a variety of features for any rider to enjoy. On the front side, located to the left of the main lodge, is our Switz 41 Park (large features for advanced riders) and Expedition Supply Park (medium-sized features for intermediate riders). On the back side is our Progression Park, which is the perfect place to practice and get comfortable on smaller features.

Do I need a lift ticket if I stay in the beginner area?
Yes, you need a ticket. We have a specific beginner area ticket if you will only be staying in this area.
Does Little Switzerland allow Sno-Bikes, Sno-Skates, or Equivalent?
Little Switzerland allows traditional equipment, skis or snowboards with a metal edge. Sno-skates, hill foot traffic, and equivalent are not allowed for safety and insurance reasons. Sno-go bikes are allowed. Contact us to confirm your equipment will be allowed.
What is terrain based learning?
Simply put, Terrain Based Learning makes learning to ski or snowboard easier and more fun. By using specifically shaped snow features to naturally control your speed and body position, Terrain Based Learning removes the traditional fears and anxieties associated with your first time sliding on snow, allowing you to focus purely on the fun.
How much are your lift tickets?
Our lift tickets vary based on date, ticket type, and when you purchase. We use dynamic pricing which means that the earlier you buy, the more you save.
Where do I find the terrain based Learning area?
Located in the beginner area.
Do all lifts run during operating hours?
Depending on the date you come, a lift may not be operating. To check for your day, head to our snow report
Little Switzerland Drone Policy
Out of safety concerns for guests, employees, and resort property, as well as concerns for individual privacy, Little Switzerland prohibits the operation or use of unmanned aerial systems, or drones, by the general public – including recreational users and hobbyists – without the prior written authorization from the Resort. This prohibition includes drones used for filming or videotaping, as well as any drone use by media or journalists operating above or within Little Switzerland’s boundaries. This prohibition on drone operations or use extends to any drones launched or operated from Resort property, as well as drones launched from private property outside of the Resort boundaries. Any authorized operation of aerial drones may be governed by Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) rules and regulations and local law enforcement, as well as those policies separately established by Little Switzerland, which may include certification, training, insurance coverage, indemnification requirements, and waivers or releases of liability. Any violation of this policy may involve suspension of your skiing or snowboarding privileges, or the revocation of your season pass, as well as confiscation of any drone equipment, and may subject violators to any damages, including, but not limited to, damages for violations of privacy and/or physical or personal injuries or property damage, as well as regulatory fines and legal fees.
